July 4th has always been one of those holidays that we celebrate and look forward to each year. We love to have the favorite foods of a BBQ and of course watch the fireworks. This year, our celebration started out with our normal activity of watching the Waynesboro Holiday parade. The girls even had their picture taken with Uncle Sam. It always amazes me to see how many people we actually know in the parade. Waynesboro is a small town – it is such a great feeling to look around and know people – our church family specifically.

We watched fireworks from my house – the first time for this. Normally we go to the park and watch them, but we just were tired and previously, some of our neighbors had put on a fireworks display and we watched them from my back deck – so I may have been “fireworked out” if that is a thing.

Olivia was afraid and didn’t enjoy them but Sophia did and got excited each time one shown in the sky. She even got to walk down to the end of the street with grandpa and watch them from there. She told me that she had the time of her life and enjoyed being with Papa. While Sophia watched the fireworks, Olivia retired to watch a Disney movie. It always amazes me how different the girls are. I love their uniqueness.

I hope each of you had a wonderful holiday. Feel free to share in the comments section how you celebrated July 4th. I look forward to hearing from you.
