My husband and I have been married for 34 years. We have had many adventures since he joined and retired from the Navy. My recent adventure with him was full of surprises and excitement. We drove to Strasburg, Pennsylvania to aboard a train ride. We went on a short ride – just in case we didn’t like it. It was fun and we will definitely try it again. The Strasburg Rail Road began in 1832 and continues today being the oldest continuously operating railroad in the western hemisphere and the oldest public utility in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. It is hauled by steam locomotives. It also provides freight service to area shippers. It is definitely worth the trip and an excellent experience. Include some pictures below from the ride and of course because of my love of sewing, we even stopped at a local quilt shop and I was able to pick up two doll panels and two princess panels for my girls. I can’t wait to make them.

One of the coolest pictures I was able to capture while on the train was a boy working on his farm.
