This was Sophia’s second year of dance. During the recital, we could see how she has grown and improved in ballet. It was such a joy to see her on stage. This year the recital was at the high school on the big stage compared to our last year’s outdoor event due to covid. Last year we sweated and this year we froze with air conditioning. No complaints though – I must rather be indoors than outdoors.
Sophia’s class danced to Walking on Sunshine – and to this day, we can’t get that song out of our heads – mainly because Olivia loves the song and dances to it each day – she has mastered telling Alexia to play it.
Sophia will be going into her third year of dance for ballet and Olivia will start her first year. I can’t wait to see the excitement we will have with Olivia. She is so different from Sophia. I can’t wait to see Olivia on stage next year – she is definitely a leader compared to a follower – this ride should be exciting. I’ll let you know how dance camp goes. It starts next week.
